About Lorin Tierney
Do you find yourself going through the motions of daily life and feel that you are not living up to your potential? Do you get stuck in your personal relationships and don’t feel you have a strong voice to really say what you need to? I believe that anyone can create new behaviors and patterns that reflect who you are really; to find contentment in relationships. Let me be your guide in teaching you useful tools for developing healthy changes in your lifestyle. You will learn how to build and maintain boundaries, and to develop self care skills (emotionally, physically, and spiritually) to unblock the barriers that keep you off your path from inner peace and happiness.

My approach to therapy is diverse in order to align with the unique needs of each individual. I am an interactive, personable, compassionate, supportive therapist, who is down to earth and multi-culturally trained and educated. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the single most important thing to create to facilitate growth in an individual.

In working with children and adolescents, I utilize talk with play and/or art therapy to specifically meet their needs. These tools create safety, which promotes trust on their level so I can see into their inner world. To further enhance their progress, I do check-ins with parents and provide parenting support as well as family therapy as needed. I also make contact with children’s doctors and teachers to include them as part of the team for treatment.

I look forward to starting our therapeutic relationship. I welcome you to contact me so we can start your
process now.
