Sequoia Recovery and Mental Health Services
Alcohol and drug addicted individuals can become drug free and can learn to live healthy, satisfying lives without dependence upon alcohol or other chemicals. Relying upon education, group interaction, honesty and support, our program provides the tools needed to successfully manage sobriety, to prevent relapse, and to prepare clients for an ongoing clean and sober life.
Clients can live at home and continue working while receiving treatment.
Treatment Program
Each client is involved in an intensive eight week program designed to
meet the needs of the individual. Treatment is divided into three phases:
Intensive (4 times/week), Continuing Care/Relapse Prevention (once/week),
and After Care (for as long as the client desires).
Families and significant others participate in a weekly education group as well as the multi-family group.
Treatment components include:
- Individual assessment and treatment planning
- Chemical dependency and relapse prevention education
- Cognitive therapy groups
- Process groups
- Multi-family groups

- Education
- Specialty Groups in Recovery
Some features of the program include:
- Interdisciplinary team assessment, evaluation and treatment
- Referring professional can choose level of participation in the treatment team
- Ongoing communication among the program staff and the referring professional assures the most appropriate plan of treatment
Substance Abuse And Mental Health Services
Sequoia Recovery Services offers dual diagnosis treatment as well as substance
abuse recovery. Utilizing cognitive/behavioral methods which are coupled
with a Twelve Step approach, the program believes that drug dependence
is a disease which is treatable.
Admission Criteria
- Have made a commitment to stop drinking or using alcohol and/or other drugs
- Have the motivation to seek and remain in treatment while maintaining work and family relationships
- Have no medical conditions (based upon current physical exam) that would necessitate inpatient or residential treatment
- Have refrained from drug or alcohol use for a minimum of three days prior to beginning treatment
- And, have a stable living situation and social support system in place to assist them in recovery.
Free Assessments
Assessments will be provided, free of charge, to any individual seeking
treatment. This assessment will be focused on determining the appropriate
level of treatment for the individual and may include no treatment, AA
or NA only, weekly therapy, intensive outpatient, residential, or inpatient
hospitalization.
